Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation
We view peacebuilding and conflict transformation as essential to achieving long-term stability and development. Our goal is to strengthen local peace infrastructure, support non-violent conflict resolution, and empower communities to take an active role in shaping a more just and peaceful future.
Our program focuses on strengthening community-level peace systems, rebuilding trust among groups, and creating space for inclusive dialogue and joint problem-solving. We work closely with local authorities, traditional leaders, peace committees youth groups, and women groups to identify root causes of conflict and promote peaceful co-existence through locally driven solutions. These groups lead mediation efforts, engage in early warning and response, and work with displaced and host communities to address tensions. We also build the capacity of chiefs, bench courts, and civil society actors in human rights, peace governance, and access to justice, particularly for survivors of gender-based violence.
